Part of the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation building in Abuja was affected by a fire outbreak on Monday morning.
Eyewitnesses said the fire was first noticed around 8:20 a.m., when thick smoke began rising from a section of the building.
According to reports, the incident occurred at Section C of the complex, prompting workers in the building to quickly leave the affected area while emergency responders were contacted to handle the situation.
Officials from the media department of the Office of the Head of Service later confirmed the incident, noting that the fire was confined to Section C of the building.
They added that emergency teams were already working to bring the situation under control.
Authorities also stated that the cause of the fire remains unknown at the moment. An investigation is expected to begin once the fire has been completely extinguished.
