Abuja-based lawyer Pelumi Olajengbesi has stepped down from his role at Law Corridor, a legal firm based in Abuja, as he prepares to pursue political aspirations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the Partners and Management of the firm confirmed that Olajengbesi decided to step aside due to his growing involvement in political activities and public service ambitions.
According to the firm’s Deputy Managing Partner, Dr. Ganiyu Ajibola Bello, the move aligns with the organisation’s internal governance policy, which requires the firm to remain politically neutral.
“This decision is in accordance with the Articles of Governance of Law Corridor, which uphold the firm’s long-standing policy of political neutrality,” Bello stated.
He also acknowledged Olajengbesi’s significant contributions to the development and progress of the firm over the years.
Before stepping aside, Olajengbesi had served as the Managing Partner of the firm and later returned to the leadership structure as Senior Partner and Group Lead of the Family, Succession and Wealth Management (FSW) Practice after completing his tenure.
Beyond his legal career, Olajengbesi is widely known for his involvement in civil society and human rights advocacy, having actively participated in public interest campaigns and social mobilisation initiatives for over a decade.
He currently serves as the convener of the Imole Grassroots Mobilisation Network, a political movement supporting the re-election of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Olajengbesi is also aspiring to represent the Obokun–Oriade Federal Constituency in Osun State in the 2027 general elections.
