The Jigawa State Police Command has finalised preparations for the physical and credential verification of candidates seeking recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force from the state.
This was disclosed in a statement on Saturday by the command’s spokesperson, SP Shiisu Lawan, in Dutse.
According to him, the screening exercise will take place from March 9 to April 18 at the Police State Headquarters in Dutse.
Lawan advised applicants to check their status on the official recruitment portal and print all necessary documents required for the screening. Candidates are expected to attend strictly on the date indicated on their invitation slips.
He noted that the screening process will begin on March 9 and continue until April 18, stressing that applicants must appear in the approved dress code, which includes white canvas shoes, a white T-shirt, white shorts, and white stockings.
Applicants are required to present several documents during the exercise. These include their application submission slip, physical screening form, invitation slip with table number, and credentials screening form.
Other documents needed are a National Identity Number (NIN) printout or card, O-Level certificates, birth certificate or age declaration, and a certificate of local government or state of origin. Specialist applicants must also present their trade test results, while all candidates must provide a guarantor’s form with passport photographs and other relevant credentials.
The police spokesperson warned that applicants who fail to present the required documents, appear improperly dressed, or arrive on dates other than those assigned will not be allowed to participate in the screening.
Lawan, quoting the Commissioner of Police in the state, Dahiru Muhammad, urged shortlisted applicants to remain calm and strictly follow the screening guidelines.
He also emphasised that the recruitment process is completely free of charge, warning applicants to report anyone requesting money in connection with the exercise.
The command further encouraged candidates to cooperate with officials to ensure the screening exercise is conducted smoothly.
