Hon. Adewale Rabiu Atanda
Hon. Adesina Atanda Rabiu, representing Iwo State Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly, has reversed his earlier decision to resign from the Accord Party.
In a swift turn of events, the lawmaker withdrew his resignation just hours after submitting it, publicly reaffirming his commitment to the party and his loyalty to Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.
The development was captured in a viral video where Rabiu was seen alongside the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Adewale Olumide Egbedun, and the Governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, formally announcing the withdrawal of his resignation.
Rabiu’s earlier decision to leave the party had sparked reactions within political circles, especially as he cited personal reasons without further explanation. However, his quick reversal appears to have calmed tensions, reinforcing his alignment with the current political leadership in the state.
The latest move signals a possible resolution of internal disagreements, while also reaffirming Rabiu’s position within both the Accord Party and the Osun State political structure.
