Idẹra FM Celebrates Children with Fun and Skills

Idẹra 105.3FM, Otan Ayegbaju, on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, celebrated Children’s Day in grand style as hundreds of children from different parts of Osun State gathered at Allykay Resort, Otan Ayegbaju, for a memorable day filled with fun, learning, and entertainment.

The event, organised by the management of Idẹra 105.3FM, featured several exciting activities including music performances, games, dancing, swimming, bouncing castle, and educational skill acquisition sessions aimed at empowering children for the future.

Speaking during the event on behalf of the Director of Idẹra 105.3FM, Mr. Ayo Alabi, and his wife, Alhaja Idẹra Alabi, the General Manager of the station, Mr. Aderotimi Adedire, popularly known as “Ìjìnlẹ̀ Ọ̀rọ̀,” congratulated children across Nigeria and the world on the occasion of the 2026 Children’s Day celebration.

Mr. Adedire described children as the future leaders of society and urged them to remain obedient, focused, and disciplined in order to achieve greatness in life.

According to him, Children’s Day should go beyond mere merriment, eating snacks, drinking soft drinks, and playing games alone. He stressed that the celebration should also serve as an opportunity for children to acquire valuable knowledge and practical skills that can positively shape their future.

He explained that this informed the decision of Idẹra 105.3FM to include vocational learning activities such as bead making and liquid soap production as part of the celebration.

Mr. Adedire encouraged the children to pay close attention during the training sessions, noting that skills acquired at a young age could become a source of livelihood and financial independence in the future.

He further prayed for the children to grow in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding, while also wishing them success in their future endeavours.

The General Manager also used the opportunity to advise parents and guardians to continue monitoring their children closely, especially in view of the growing security challenges facing the country.

Addressing the children directly, he urged them to remain vigilant at all times and avoid following strangers or accepting gifts, snacks, or items from unknown persons.

He noted that security consciousness has become very important in present-day Nigeria and encouraged children to always report suspicious movements or individuals to their parents, teachers, or other trusted adults.

The event also witnessed lectures and interactive sessions where facilitators taught children the basics of bead making and liquid soap production, with many of the participants expressing excitement over the opportunity to learn practical skills while celebrating the special day.

Parents and guardians who attended the programme commended the management of Idẹra 105.3FM for organising a unique Children’s Day celebration that combined entertainment with educational and vocational development.

The colourful event ended with music, refreshments, networking, and presentation of gifts to participating children, leaving many of them with memorable experiences and valuable lessons for the future.
