Governor Ademola Adeleke, Osun State
The Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has declared that his administration’s achievements during his first term provide strong justification for his re-election.
Governor Adeleke made the statement on Wednesday while hosting members of the Ansar-u-Deen Society of Nigeria, Osun State Council, at the Banquet Hall of the Government House.
During the meeting, the governor highlighted the accomplishments of his administration and explained that his government has expanded its development blueprint to further improve the lives of residents across the state.
According to him, the upgraded agenda focuses on five key areas: youth, women, and workers’ welfare; infrastructure development; agro-industrial expansion; improved access to quality healthcare and education; and creating a more secure environment for businesses to thrive and generate employment.
Adeleke noted that the updated priorities build on the policy direction his administration presented to voters during the 2022 election campaign.
“These priorities build on our original 2022 agenda, which we have faithfully implemented. I believe we have delivered on our electoral promises to the people of Osun,” the governor said.
Members of the Ansar-u-Deen Society, led by Council Secretary Pharmacist Akande Hafiz, praised the governor for several infrastructure projects in the state, particularly the dualisation of the Odo-Ori-Adeeke Road in Iwo, which they said has improved economic and social activities in the area.
The group also appealed to the state government to assist in the construction of a new mosque after their former place of worship was demolished during ongoing development works.
